Dear Parents and Teachers
Building castles with sticks and stones, turning boxes into ships, finding dinosaur bones in the backyard, and monsters in the closet.
In the late 1900s, Karen's Kids were born, and a whole gang of characters joined this rag-tag, imaginative, mischievous crew: Pickleberry and Washrag Girl have been together since birth. Dawg doesn't go anywhere without Dilbert, Grandma can't find Beep, GeorgiaBea is painting on her sister, and Peanut is having a shouting tantrum.
A little bit of everybody's kids are part of Karen's Kids: mud-loving, puddle-jumping, sometimes bossy, and less than truthful, but always huggable little guys. They (Karen's Kids, and probably all of us) are learning how to overcome issues in a healthy way. It is our goal to model our motto in words and actions, "Sharing, caring, and working together to help make the world a better place" by providing creative, constructive learning activities, and products for kids and their caregivers, and supporting agencies working to keep kids safe and healthy.
*In 2025, National Children's Alliance reported that "...more than 550,000 children are known to be abused." That's 8 children out of every thousand.)
